Description
As an Austrian company, Riess of course also a schnitzel pan. But don't let the name fool you! The round oven pan with the high edge and two handles is ideal for baking crispy schnitzels, but it is also very versatile: braised and egg dishes and even Asian wok dishes are a success in the enamel schnitzel pan. With its two practical handles, it can be placed directly on the dining table and is therefore also suitable as a serving pan.
The schnitzel pan can also be placed in the oven at high heat without any problems and used as a baking pan or oven pan, e.g. as a gratin dish for baked ham noodles and even as a baking pan for baking bread.
Enamel is made from iron that has been fused with glass at high temperatures, i.e. from natural raw materials. This enamel cookware can be used on all types of stoves (gas, electric, glass ceramic, induction and even over an open fire). Thanks to the iron core, the heat is quickly conducted and then stored: for sustainable, energy-saving cooking. The non-porous, smooth glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. This is aroma-neutral and bacteria-inhibiting and is also easy to clean. If used properly and cared for correctly, enamelware will give you pleasure for a long time and retains its typical shine.
Riess is now the only tableware manufacturer whose production has a positive CO2 balance. Their factory is powered by electricity from their own hydroelectric power plants. They generate more electricity than they need themselves and feed it into the grid as green electricity.
We have the Riess CLASSIC Schnitzel Pan Black in 5 different versions: ⌀20cm, ⌀24cm, ⌀30cm, ⌀34cm & ⌀40cm

The packaging of a product has a major impact on the environment. If the product has packaging, we therefore carefully check whether it is made from recycled materials and/or is itself recyclable. Plastic-free packaging and packaging that can be returned to a reusable system or that stands out due to its particularly intelligent and sustainable packaging design perform better with us.

That's why we look at whether you can save resources such as energy, water or materials with the product. It is also important to us whether a product is repairable, durable and/or refillable.
This product scores highly in at least 25% of our sustainable materials criteria and therefore meets our requirements for sustainable materials. Sustainability starts with the materials. That's why, when evaluating this criterion, we look closely at whether the product is made of natural or recycled or recyclable materials and whether it is petroleum- or plastic-free. We also pay attention to whether the materials are grown locally and organically.
This product scores highly in at least 50% of our sustainable manufacturing criteria, making it particularly sustainable. Manufacturing is an essential step in the life cycle of a product. This includes whether a product is manufactured without animal testing or the use of critical substances such as genetically modified plants or palm oil. We also examine whether it is produced locally and in a CO2-neutral manner. We also check whether social sustainability, such as fair pay, is taken into account during production.
This product scores highly in at least 25% of our features for comprehensive recyclability and therefore meets our requirements for sustainable recyclability. A major challenge for sustainability is the integration of products into the biological and technical cycle. It is important here whether a product is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable industrially or at home. We also view it positively if the manufacturer offers a return system for the product and returns it back into the cycle themselves.
