- jaw-friendly suction part
- BPA and phthalate free
- Soft heart-shaped shield
Description
The green Woodpecker Organic pacifier is made of environmentally friendly and sustainable natural rubber. It is made from one piece and is particularly flexible and soft due to the material. Natural rubber is particularly tear and bite resistant. The straight and soft shield in the shape of a heart offers a recess for the nose and allows freedom of movement of the lip and mouth muscles. The heart-shaped ventilation holes prevent suction and ensure better air circulation, which can prevent skin irritation.
The pacifier is available in 3 different sizes. We recommend size 1 for babies from 0 to 6 months, size 2 for babies from 6 to 18 months and size 3 for toddlers from 18 months.
That's why this product is great:
- jaw-friendly suction part
- Soft heart-shaped shield
- BPA and phthalate free
- Without dyes
- Material: natural rubber
- Size 1 (0-6m), Size 2 (6-18m), Size 3 (18m+)
- Corresponds to DIN EN 1400
- Prolonged use of pacifiers can cause tooth and/or jaw damage. We therefore recommend that you do not use the pacifier beyond 36 months.
Before first use and for cleaning:
- Place the pacifier in boiling water for 5 minutes and then rinse it thoroughly under warm running water.
- Allow to cool and squeeze out any remaining water. This is to ensure hygiene.
- When cooking, always make sure that there is enough water in the pot to avoid damage to the material.
Before each use:
- Clean the vacuum cleaner thoroughly under warm, running water.
- Do not use harsh cleaning agents to clean the pacifier.
- Not suitable for heating in the microwave or dishwasher.
- It is a natural product. The pacifier may change color through cooking or over time. This is not a quality defect, but a natural process.
- The smell of natural rubber disappears over time and is completely harmless.
- For hygiene and safety reasons, replace the pacifier after one to two months of use.
- The pacifier can easily be disposed of in household waste and thermally recycled.
The organic pacifier is made of natural rubber, which is obtained from the Hevea tree. The rubber tree lives for 25-30 years. It is then processed into wood for furniture, for example.
The organic pacifier can be easily disposed of in the residual waste and thermally recycled. Please separate the individual components of the packaging and send them to the appropriate recycling system. Please observe the regional disposal guidelines.
Taiga Eco Ratings
This product scores highly in at least 25% of our sustainable packaging features and therefore meets our requirements for sustainable packaging. The packaging of a product has a major impact on the environment. If the product has packaging, we therefore carefully check whether it is made from recycled materials and/or is itself recyclable. Plastic-free packaging and packaging that can be returned to a reusable system or that stands out due to its particularly intelligent and sustainable packaging design perform better with us.
Unfortunately, this product does not score highly in any of our features for environmentally friendly use. That does not mean that the product is not sustainable in general, but we believe there is potential for greater sustainability in the area of use. A product also has an impact on the environment during use. That is why we look at whether you can save resources such as energy, water or materials with the product. It is also important to us whether a product is repairable, durable and/or refillable.
This product scores highly in at least 25% of our sustainable materials criteria and therefore meets our requirements for sustainable materials. Sustainability starts with the materials. That's why, when evaluating this criterion, we look closely at whether the product is made of natural or recycled or recyclable materials and whether it is petroleum- or plastic-free. We also pay attention to whether the materials are grown locally and organically.
This product scores highly in at least 50% of our sustainable manufacturing criteria, making it particularly sustainable. Manufacturing is an essential step in the life cycle of a product. This includes whether a product is manufactured without animal testing or the use of critical substances such as genetically modified plants or palm oil. We also examine whether it is produced locally and in a CO2-neutral manner. We also check whether social sustainability, such as fair pay, is taken into account during production.
Unfortunately, this product does not score highly in any of our criteria for sustainable recyclability. This does not mean that the product is not sustainable in general, but in our view there is potential for greater sustainability in the area of curly-runnability. A major challenge for sustainability is the integration of products into the biological and technical cycle. It is important here whether a product is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable industrially or at home. We also view it positively if the manufacturer offers a return system for the product and returns it back into the cycle itself. Unfortunately, this product does not score highly in any of our criteria for comprehensive recyclability.
