Description
The drinking cups are called pots with flanges in the old enamel language. The edge of the CLASSIC Pastel pot with flange (cup) is curved, which makes it pleasant to drink from - this is the flanged edge and hence the name "pot with flange".
What counts is that the pretty drinking cups made of enamel warm cold fingers and preserve the pure taste of punch, mulled wine, tea, coffee or chocolate. The non-porous, smooth and bacteria-inhibiting glass surface ensures this. The drinking cup has a comfortable handle on the side.
Enamel is made from iron that has been fused with glass at high temperatures, i.e. from natural raw materials. This enamel cookware can be used on all types of stoves (gas, electric, glass ceramic, induction and even over an open fire). Thanks to the iron core, the heat is quickly conducted and then stored: for sustainable, energy-saving cooking.
The smooth, non-porous glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. It is aroma-neutral and bacteria-inhibiting and is also easy to clean. When used properly and cared for properly, enamelware will last for a long time and retain its typical shine.
Riess is today the only tableware manufacturer whose production has a positive CO2 balance. Their factory is powered by electricity from their own hydroelectric power plants. They generate more electricity than they need themselves and feed it into the grid as green electricity.

We also pay attention to whether the materials are grown locally and organically.
This product scores highly in at least 50% of our sustainable manufacturing criteria, making it particularly sustainable. Manufacturing is an essential step in the life cycle of a product. This includes whether a product is manufactured without animal testing or the use of critical substances such as genetically modified plants or palm oil. We also examine whether it is produced locally and in a CO2-neutral manner. We also check whether social sustainability, such as fair pay, is taken into account during production.
This product scores highly in at least 25% of our features for comprehensive recyclability and therefore meets our requirements for sustainable recyclability. A major challenge for sustainability is the integration of products into the biological and technical cycle. It is important here whether a product is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable industrially or at home. We also view it positively if the manufacturer offers a return system for the product and returns it back into the cycle themselves.
